Crazy For You Sheet Music (Vocal Selections)
Crazy For You Film Version
Crazy For You 1992 Original Broadway Cast Recording |
Inspired by material by Guy Bolton and Elizabeth Williams.
Crazy For You is basically "The Gershwin Super-Musical". All the best Gershwin songs were recycled from lesser-known musical theatre shows and attached together by a rather silly story. However, no one goes to see this show for the story anyway: hearing all the best Gershwin tunes in one show is good enough for most audiences.
Audition Preparation Suggestions
for Crazy For You
Almost every character and chorus member in this show must be able to tap/jazz dance well, as there are many large production numbers.
If you are looking for a song to use as an audition piece for Crazy For You, you may be hard pressed to find a suitable Gershwin tune that isn't already in this show. Any other songs written in the same era and in a similar style will do fine. |
