Begins in 1905, the mid-west, and follows the life of Joseph Taylor Jr and his mid-life growing up.

Allegro is one of only two R & H musicals not based on another source. It is an excellent ensemble show, with many different roles for the chorus to play. It is a choral acting piece with a Greek chorus.
